How does a customer earn points?

A customer can earn loyalty points for every purchase made at the business. Here are the two available models available to you to issue points to your customers:

1. Spend Based:

A customer earns points proportionately to how much he or she spends on a visit.

Examples

Single Tier Program: Customer earns 1 point for every INR 100 spent!

Multi-Tier Program:
Silver customers earn 1 point for every INR 100 spent!
Gold customers earn 3 points for every INR 100 spent!
Diamond customers earn 5 points for every INR 100 spent!

Advanced Settings Available:

  1. Minimum spend: Customer only earns points for the transaction if the amount spent by the customer is greater than the minimum spend threshold set by the business.
  2. Maximum points earned per transaction.
  3. Item based earning: A business can restrict points earned by issuing them only on specific items. For example Jean Claude Biguine, a popular salon chain, only issues loyalty points its customers on purchase of Moroccan Oil Products or Services. In this case, if a customer has purchased 3 Services - Moroccan Oil Hair Spa (INR 1000), Manicure (INR 500) and a Moroccan Oil Shampoo (INR 500), the points issued to the customer will be dependant on qualifying items. In this case the customer would earn points basis the INR 2000 spent on Moroccan Oil items.
2. Visit Based:

A customer earns a fixed number of points for every visit (irrespective of how much he or she has spent on the visit).

Examples:

Customers earn 10 points per visit!

Advanced Settings Available:

  1. Minimum Spend: Customer only earns points for the transaction if the amount spent by the customer is greater than the minimum spend threshold set by the business.
  2. Maximum number of Visits a day: Customer earns points
  3. Item Based Earning: A business can restrict points earned by issuing them only on specific items. For example Jean Claude Biguine, a popular salon chain, only issues loyalty points its customers on purchase of Moroccan Oil Products or Services. In the case of a visit based program, this condition is a qualifying criteria to issue the fixed loyalty points for a visit.
Outside of the purchases/visits, Hashtag Loyalty allows you to issue additional points to a customer from time to time. Here are some of the available ways this can be done:

1. Feedback Submission
2. Successful Referral
3. Bonus Points Campaign
